What do you take me for manga?
You take me for a manga when you see me reading one. You take me for a manga when you see me wearing my kimono. You take me for a manga when you see me with my anime plushies. But what exactly is a manga?
Manga are Japanese comics that are typically read right to left. They come in all different genres, from shounen (action/adventure) to shoujo (romance/drama) to seinen (slice of life/comedy). There are also manhua and manhwa, which are Chinese and Korean comics, respectively. I personally enjoy all kinds of manga, but my favorites are shoujo and seinen.
So, the next time you see me reading a manga, don’t just assume that I’m a nerd. I could be reading a work of art.
What is your favorite manga?
My favorite manga of all time is definitely Fruits Basket. It’s a shoujo manga about a girl named Tohru Honda who ends up living with a cursed family, the Sohmas. It’s a really heartwarming story, and I highly recommend it to anyone.
What are some of your other favorite manga?
Some of my other favorite manga include Attack on Titan, Death Note, Naruto, One Piece, Ouran High School Host Club, and Sailor Moon. These are all pretty popular manga, so you may have heard of them before. If you haven’t read them, I definitely recommend giving them a try!
