the story of a low rank soldier 57

I was a low rank soldier 57 in the army. I was never in the front line of battle, but I was always in the back, cleaning up the messes and doing the grunt work. I never got any recognition or thank yous from my superiors, but I always did my duty. I was never promoted, but I never gave up. I was always the last one standing, even when everyone else had gone home. I was the one who always had to clean up the messes, both literal and figurative. But I never complained. I was a soldier, and I did my duty.

Then, one day, I was called into the office of my superior. I thought for sure I was going to be given a medal or a promotion. But instead, I was given a demotion. I was told that I was no longer needed in the army, and that I was being let go. I was devastated. I had given my life to the army, and now I was being discarded like a piece of trash. I didn’t know what to do or where to go. I was lost.

But I didn’t give up. I decided to go back to school and get my GED. I then went on to college and got my degree. I became a teacher, and I now help young people who are lost, just like I was. I tell them my story, and I show them that it is never too late to change your life. I am living proof that it is possible to turn your life around, no matter how low you think you are. I am proof that there is always hope.
